House Flies are responsible for causing food poisoning and diseases like Typhoid, Cholera and Dysentery. They also carry the eggs of parasitic worms. House flies, which are about 6 to 9 mm in length, are the most common species of flies found today. Their breeding capacities are extremely high, as each female can lay a batch of 100 to 150 eggs in 3 to 4 days. In optimum temperatures, these eggs hatch in about 7 hours or else they hatch in 1 to 2 days usually. House flies cause a major problem in India during the monsoon season as they lay eggs in moist decaying organic matter like sewage, excrements, manure and garbage as they are optimal breeding grounds for these flies.

House Fly Management

Spray Treatment: Walls, floors, and the external periphery of the structure will be sprayed using a suitable residual chemical. Doors, windows and frames will be sprayed from outside. Garbage drains and other waste disposal areas that are susceptible to fly infestation in the compound will be sprayed as well. We also use Fly bait and fly attractant to get effective control.

Mechanical Devices: We also use mechanical devices like fly catching machines and air controls in a few cases. Fly Catching/ Killing Machines are carefully installed in the right places and away from any production machinery and possible entry points. Air curtains, on the other hand, can be installed at the entry doors of the compounds and rooms that contain sensitive areas like raw material storage and finished goods.
